are you old?

apparently kids are using ring tones that adults cannot hear. if you'd like to know if you're a geezer, check out this article and take a listen. if you can't hear it, go ahead and buy a walker and some Depends. you're mere days away from needing them.

I was able to hear the tone, I guess I didn't listen to enough loud music when I was young (I'm 49). When I played the tone my dog started to bark. So I guess parents and teachers will need an "Assistant Dog" to tell them if there kid is text messaging.

The real sting in this story, is that the tone was originally created to stop gangs of teens from hanging around outiside shops. The sound is meant to be an irritant, but the kids just copied the sounds and now use it take calls during class, hoping their teachers are old enough to hear the tone.

Sneaky wee geniuses eh?

i can't hear it. Years of loud music killed the ears.

I'm old.

Bill- i'm sure someone will invent a little device that can alert the old peeps that a student is up to no good. i'd do it, but i'm too lazy.

Lyvvie- everything has a good and evil side. ask Yoda.

Michael- i was just thinking to myself the other day that i must have some hearing loss due to the front row joe positions at all the shows i attend, but i can still hear the tone. i think i'm regressing, actually.

I feel better now. I blasted my speakers on my computer... all the way up till i couldn't go any further... and I heard a very faint sound.
