playing hooky

i ditched work today. i just couldn't muster the effort. if you're wondering if that's a good idea seeing as how every other one of my posts is bitching about money, don't fret. i get paid even when i don't show up. it's a cush job. anyhow, i was fairly productive here at home. i cleaned the kitchen, did laundry, and hit the gym. i also slept in late since i ditched my doc appointment, too. man, i'm such a lazy buffoon! now i have to write a 7-20 page short story for one of my classes, and i haven't even started it. i'm waiting for inspiration to strike, and apparently inspiration is difficult to come by when you're playing games on Pogo. on a different note, as i was walking to the laundry room, i could smell fall in the air. i don't know if that happens in other places, but here in Lubbock, there is a distinct difference between seasons. it hits suddenly, too. i plan on taking advantage of the lack of searing weather to run outside rather than at the gym tomorrow. i hope i don't collapse into a wheezing pile of untanned skin because i'm not used to being outside. i'll let you know how it goes.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Each season has a smell for me too. It's smelled like fall here for about a week.

I can finally walk outside without melting.

michael- and i'm really a man, too! JK i love Pogo! i'm well on my way to 2 million tokies. apparently the stars are so perfectly aligned on Sept 11th, that only perfect children are born.

bunny- i love walking outside and melting. but i love the other seasons, too. i'm just so cold all the time that anythng cooler than 80 makes me shiver.

2 million?

HA!!!

I've won a little over 4 million lifetime, but I'm only at a little over 500k now because I had donated them all when they had this "cash in your tokens and we'll donate $1 for every x amount of tokens gets cashed in to breast cancer research."

I'm one of the ancient pogo players though. been on there since '02, and about two years (in two seperate incidences) i wasn't working due to my gizzard.

i used to have another account that had about a million, but long story short, it was deleted. now i only play with the one to keep things simple. i don't usually have a lot of time to play so i mainly play at work. it's a good way to pass the time in between naps.

good call. I don't play near as much as I used to. Used to be a Turbo21 addict, moved on to tripeaks solitaire, floated around for a while, now I just play regular boring solitaire mostly... just to chat when bored really.

i go through game phases, too. i just recently started playing Turbo21 after years of not playing it, and it's "new and improved." it's kind of annoying now.

Ditching work is a healthy activity. Never regret the practice; we would all be happier and healthier if we allowed ourselves the luxury of regularly skipping work.
