this day totally blows.

literally. the West Texas wind is at it again. if you look outside, all you see is a brown haze thanks to the dirt saturating the air. to make matters worse, i was cursing the wind when i remembered that i'm supposed to graduate soon (at which time i will make my graceful exit to a place that is more green and less brown.) then, i tried registering for classes for next semester, and it seems Texas Tech has this tendency to not offer mandatory courses needed for graduation. now, i'm wondering how the hell i'm going to finish this sorry excuse for an education by next May. dammit.

Its not only Texas Tech that does that, its also Purdue and its Subsidiaries. I'll be a junior next fall, and my advisor is subbing a class for a 100 level course for me. Why? Because it hasn't been offered since I went back to school in the summer of 2004.

well Texas Tech is implementing a new tuition system next semester that they vehemently claim is not a flat rate system, but it's pretty darn close. in other words, the fewer hours you take, the more you pay per hour. it's an attempt to 'make students graduate in a timely manner.' wtf? twelfth year seniors are probably dying to leave but are still waiting for their requirements to be offered. *sigh*
